The 988 Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.
Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Meetings are provided free of cost and open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem.
Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. Meetings are for recovering addicts to share their experiences and help each other stay clean.
The Healing Place provides a safe environment to begin a journey of long-term recovery, free of cost, for men and women struggling with addiction in Eastern NC. They also offer an overnight emergency shelter for people experiencing homelessness.
Residential Recovery Center: Accepting clients Monday-Friday from 8am – 3pm
Detox Center: Accepting clients 24/7
Overnight Emergency Shelter: Accepting clients daily 3pm – 7am
The Substance Use, Mental Health & Care Integration Services of Coastal Horizons Center provide a continuum of prevention, outpatient treatment, and health-related services to those struggling with substance abuse. Coastal Horizons is paneled with Medicaid, and many Third-Party insurances. Sliding scale rates may be available to assist uninsured patients with the opportunity to receive services at a reduced rate.
The Tides program helps pregnant and newly postpartum women struggling with substance abuse begin their journey of recovery. It is a comprehensive, evidence-based outpatient program that integrates in-house services with existing community partners to engage women in the recovery process. Tides offers housing, transportation, training and case management while coordinating with community partners for prenatal/postpartum care and mental health services.
RHA Health Services provide support, advocacy, and various levels of treatment to people who struggle with addictive diseases. RHA is committed to long term treatment and provides a full continuum of care to address the bio-psycho-social-spiritual aspects of opioid and alcohol addiction and recovery.
Open Access Assessments (walk-ins): Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM Call Ahead!
A Safe Place provides a number of services for survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking free of cost, including twice weekly substance abuse counseling. The Supportive Housing Program assists survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and/or sex trafficking with a substance abuse disorder transition into an approved recovery house.
Additionally, A Safe Place offers individual and group therapies, employment assistance, life skills classes, Jail Outreach, a Minor Prevention Program and community awareness and training programs.
Five14 Revolution provides access to housing, recovery house rental assistance, support for drug addiction recovery, transportation, access to trauma informed therapy, financial assistance for healthcare and prescriptions, and food and clothing assistance for survivors of human trafficking.
First Fruit Ministries provides resources to those in our community experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
