It depends!

For requests above $25,000, the application requires an independent audit by a licensed certified public accountant dated within two years (FY 2024 or 2025).

For requests $25,000 and below, an audit or review completed by a licensed certified public accountant dated within two years (FY 2024 or 2025) will suffice.

There will be no exceptions.

YES! The Foundant grant portal will not save your progress automatically. As you work through the application, save frequently.

For the best user experience, please use the latest version of Google Chrome, Firefox, or Safari. Technical issues may arise if using Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.

If the Community Health & Wellness Grant cannot be found, its deadline may have already passed or it may not have opened yet.

Clarity and conciseness is beneficial for all parties involved, as long as all parts of a question have been answered. The character counter, displayed below the entry field, will indicate how many characters have been entered and will also indicate when the character limit has been exceeded.

Saving a draft of the application is not allowed if the character limit has been exceeded.

There is NO requirement to reach the character limit!

Please be sure to read the application requirements regarding file type and size prior to uploading any required attachments.

It is preferred that attached files are in PDF (.pdf) format unless indicated otherwise in the application. Other file types also accepted include Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Excel (.xls or .xlsx). Unacceptable file formats include the extensions: (.exe), (.com), (.vbs), and (.bat).

For file uploads, click the Browse button and then choose the desired file from the user’s computer. Once uploaded, the file name will be indicated under the Browse button. Pay attention to file names to avoid upload issues – remove extra periods or replace them with a dash or underscore character.

Only one (1) document can be uploaded per question.

There are a number of reasons why a file may not upload correctly:

  • Corrupt files: Re-open the file and save it under a different name. Replace periods with a dash or underscore character.
  • Size limit: Try compressing the file prior to upload.
  • Other errors: Try uploading the file as a different file format. For instance, if a PDF (.pdf) failed to upload, try uploading the original Word doc. Similarly, if a Word (.doc or .docx) or Excel (.xls or .xlsx) document fail to upload, try uploading as a PDF (.pdf). If a document was scanned to create a (.jpg) file, try uploading as a (.pdf) format instead. Please be aware when converting to a (.pdf) file that all pages of a multi-page document may not convert properly. Check before uploading.

If you’ve tried the above and your file still won’t upload, please reach out to Lauren Iammatteo, Outreach & Communications Specialist for assistance.

To save the application as a PDF, access your application and select the Application Packet link. This will initiate a download of a PDF version of the application. The applicant organization will always have access to the application by logging back into the application portal, even after the application has been submitted.

An applicant can lose their edits for a number of reasons. Primarily, edits are lost when an applicant makes edits and forgets to save them. (It happens to the best of us.) If the applicant stays on one page for an extended period of time without saving, the page can also “time out” without warning. It is also possible that a weak internet connection can cause a momentary disconnection, resulting in a loss of edits.

As a safeguard, follow these recommendations:

  • Save the application often! The save button is located at the very bottom right corner of the application.
  • Maintain a back-up of your answers in a Word doc saved to your computer.

To restore edits, try re-loading the internet page, as sometimes the browser will cache an older version of the page. You can also try logging out, waiting a few minutes, and logging back in.

Yes. Site visits last about an hour and generally take place during April. This is an opportunity to communicate context and experience beyond what can be conveyed in a grant application.

The evaluation team makes award recommendations to the ABC Board at the May Board meeting. Final award decisions are made at the discretion of the ABC Board. Decisions will be communicated to applicants by May 31 through email and/or USPS.

All grantees will be required to attend a mandatory post-award meeting during the month of June.
